The Day of the Green Door

Alli and I were taking a lovely uneventful walk (which was not the case yesterday) down the street and were returning home.  As we approached the house we heard the sounds of metal on metal hammering.  Allison observed that Wayne was half way through removing the front door.  Her eyes flooded with tears and she said with all the emotion she could bear, "Wayne, please don't break the house."  She ran to him, pleadingly asked him not to break the house.  All work stopped as we explained that the front door needed some new paint and she could help.  Soon all was well.

Resuming door removal
Plastic going up
Instructions as how to use the sander, which she did.
Assisting and Inspecting
Walking with the paint brush
Alli spotted Kathryn at the top floor window and announced
that Mommy was in the Tower.
Green door almost installed
Happy Girl and Dog

P.S. the walk yesterday proved to be a bit eventful.  Kathryn, I, and dog were walking down the street with Alli a few paces ahead of us.  She was delighted to discover a snake and proceeded to picked it up. Long story short she is ok and it was not a viper.  We had a 'snake' talk later.

Walking in our Woods

Nice little waterfall over the 'river rocks'
The woods revealed many mini water falls.  Flowers are blooming
and the moss is beginning to become ground cover.
SPRING, FINALLY!
Up the hill he goes
This is where I live now, and I will bolt at any given second.
Ready to jump the stream

We looked up to see balloons' flight stopped by
a tall tree.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm good lunch !

Start with a grilled burger with peppered bacon, cheddar, tomato,
onion, and garlic toasted brotchen and
whatever else goes on the plate,
it just doesn't matter.

Man and Good Dog working in the woods.

It is a Spring-Fall like day and Wayne has a few acres where
he wants to use his chain saw to make pathways and special
clearings in the woods.
'Good Dog' is with him, having changed his name from Tar.

Say hello to Tar, which is Rat spelled backwards.

Geoff, Kathryn, and Allison were on their way to the arcade at our local mall
 when....
"Stop the car, we have to save that dog"
Well, some love, LOTS of Wayne/Laura conversations, and Vet bills later,
MEET TAR, who looked like
a rat when first introduced.
