'Summer Hard Feet' is the term the kids used when they noticed the results of going barefoot during the summer months in Napa so many years ago. This is the lake, in the summer time, where we live now.

Time for some help
First we tried putting the top framing up with me helping. It
became clear pretty soon that I could not stand on the ladder
and raise the rafters to the height that Wayne kept indicating
with the ever subtle, "HIGHER, HIGHER!" So as I
mixed gatorade in the kitchen, he invented the Laura
replacement, a 10ft 2X6. Even that was not enough,
so I called Digger.
Can't see, but Butch is in there.
Spot the butterfly.
A quick check of the 5,000 page direction booklet.
Running the cable and turn buckles.

Allison went to opossum school
She just received her baby opossum and Kathryn is tying on marsupial pouch.
The teacher told the children that a momma opossum could have nine
babies. A little boy cried out, "That's ridiculous!"
Putting her first opossum baby in the pouch.
" I have to find nine baby opossums."
The opossum babies were one inch squares of paper with
a tiny 'possum stamp. They also heard a story and
made hand prints. How cute was this school?
The Runge Center has such beautiful outdoor areas.
The teacher talked about what these animals would eat
and how they sniff for food during the night. The kids then
crawled around the room, with lights out, sniffing small containers
of some great outdoor smells such as skunk, peppermint, etc.
It is hard work learning at opossum school.
