Oranjestad, Aruba

Coming into port
High 80's and wonderful!
The sun was intense and the water was perfect.

This is a view from the window while we had breakfast.

A view from our balcony
We left the ship to find a beach. The taxi driver took us
to a hotel and said just walk in, use their bathroom and
change into suits. We did so acting just as though we belonged
and then walked across the street to the lounge chairs.
This lizard crossed our path on the way to the beach,
we hoped that he wouldn't blow the whistle on us,
trespassers that we were.

In early evening we walked, had a wild golf cart ride, and located
the port quite close to boarding time. Yes, there was some time for
shopping.
Walking to the ship from the beach after a day on
our own in Oranjestad, Aruba!
Sunset as we returned from our adventure at the
beach in Aruba.
In addition to the many, many events throughout the day,
one of this evening's activties was ice carving.

A swan and eagle

An evening of fun, there was always an event scheduled
at every deck all day and night.
One of the elevators stations
Art and sculpture was everywhere.

Willemstad, Curacoa

Our ship being tugged into position.
Early morning view from our balcony of Willemstad
as the ship was docking. The bridge in the upper left is
where we crossed. This bridge disappeared when a
ship needed to pass through. In fact when we returned
from town, the bridge was gone and we took a ferry
to the ship.

View from our balcony. The blue tent is at the end
of the gangway.

Quite a poster on this bus.

Wayne ahead of me.

We walked into town to see the local market.

The fishing boats with fresh catch were right
outside the market.
We bought the CD from her, local musicians.

THE PANAMA CANAL

Early morning view of the start of going through the locks

Wayne thinks he spotted a crocodile in these two photos.

This is a mule that guides the ship through the locks.
The on-land work area as we go through the locks on the
Carribean side.

A passenger watching from his balcony deck as I am from ours.
